Sea Country (Malu Lag)
Malu Lag (Sea Country) follows Tishiko King - a marine biologist and proud Kulkalaig woman - all the way to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai. It’s a long way from her island home of Masig, but she makes the trip to try and save it. Malu Lag explores the great healing power of the ocean, the resolve of a First Nations community to protect their island and culture, and one woman’s journey to stand up for the place she loves.
The Power of Activism
An emotional journey from sacred ground above Byron Bay to Antarctica, Indonesia to Pakistan, sure to light a fire under the strongest climate change denier. Focussing on six highly spirited female activists as they are put under the microscope to ascertain the financial impact of their environmental solutions, this documentary takes a new approach to environmental films.
Stay after the screening for an engaging panel discussion featuring inspiring women leading climate action, as they share practical strategies for driving community change.
