Yarra City Council in partnership with Environmental Films Australia and Yarra Libraries are hosting a film festival in the City of Yarra and you're invited!
Join Victorian film maker Lewi Haskins and a panel of forest advocates for a screening and discussion of his powerful short film, Forest Country. Shot over the course of a year alongside activists, conservationists and ecologists, this is a film maker’s plea to protect his beloved forest community in the Yarra Ranges from logging.This beautiful and thought-provoking film documents the quest of Aboriginal leaders, community groups, and scientists to protect the high country and the head waters of vital rivers, from feral animals and other threats.
After the screening, there will be a panel with Lewi Haskins, Jo Hopkins, Stacie Piper.
